These terms apply when you place an order with Day One Print Co. Please read them before checking out. Placing an order means you agree to them.

Eligibility

By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

Ordering

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept your order when we send a confirmation email.

If we can’t fulfil an order, for example because of an obvious pricing error, an availability issue, a production issue, or a delivery restriction, we’ll let you know and refund anything you’ve paid in full.

We may refuse or cancel an order where we reasonably believe it is fraudulent, abusive, unlawful, technically incorrect, or otherwise in breach of these terms.

Changes & Cancellations

You can cancel the whole order on your order page for one hour after you pay, and we will refund what you paid in full. The link to that page is in your order confirmation email, and on the thank-you page. After that hour, we cannot cancel the order and we cannot change it.

Personalisation & Proofs

Each print is made exactly to your specification using the details you enter during the design process. The live preview on screen is your final proof. What you see is what we print.

We do not manually check or edit your designs. We cannot offer free replacements or refunds for customer errors, including but not limited to:

You can undo a mistake in the spelling, date, size, colour, or frame by cancelling within that hour. After the hour, we cannot refund those mistakes.

You must not submit personalisation content that is unlawful, abusive, offensive, discriminatory, obscene, or infringes someone else’s rights. We may refuse or cancel orders containing such content.

Product Specifications & Variations

As our posters are custom-made products, please be aware of the following standard production variations:

Colour Representation: Printed colours may differ slightly from what you see on your screen. Screens use light to display colour, while professional printers use ink. Variations in monitor brightness, device settings, and print production mean we cannot guarantee an exact 1:1 colour match.

Size Tolerance: All posters are professionally trimmed to size. Please allow for a slight manufacturing tolerance of up to 3mm on any edge.

Material Finish: Small variations in paper texture, finish, or weight may occur between different print runs.

These variations are not treated as faults unless they materially differ from the product specifications confirmed at checkout.

Pricing & Payment

Prices are in GBP. We are not VAT registered; VAT is not charged on orders at this time.

Payment is taken in full at checkout via Stripe. We do not store your full card details.

The price you pay is the price confirmed at checkout, except where that price was clearly mistaken due to an obvious pricing error.

Delivery

Delivery dates and timeframes are estimates only. We will do our best to meet the dispatch and delivery estimates stated on the website, but delays may occur.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. We are not responsible for delays, failed delivery, or loss caused by incorrect or incomplete address details provided by you.

Risk in the product passes to you when the product is delivered to the address you provided.

Website Use & Intellectual Property

We own all designs, text, artwork, layout, branding, photography, and other content on this site, unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, resell, or commercially exploit our designs or website content without our written permission.

You must use our website only for lawful purposes. Automated scraping, hacking, interference with the site, or misuse of the checkout or configurator is strictly prohibited.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party platforms and partners to operate our website, process payments, produce prints, send order emails, deliver orders, maintain site security, monitor technical performance, and understand how our website is used.

These may include payment providers such as Stripe, email providers such as Resend, print partners, shipping couriers, analytics providers, hosting providers, and security or reliability tools.

Some services are essential to provide the website, checkout, payment, order fulfilment, security, customer support, accounting, and legal record-keeping. Other analytics or marketing tools are used only in line with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Settings.

We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control, but we remain responsible for handling your order in line with these terms and your consumer rights.

Limitation of Liability

We take care to make every print right. Where something goes wrong on our side, we’ll replace it or refund you in line with your legal rights.

To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or business losses.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for things that cannot legally be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including rights relating to faulty goods, goods not as described, or goods that do not do what they are supposed to do.

Events Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including postal strikes, courier disruption, extreme weather, natural disasters, supplier issues, technical outages, or other disruptions beyond our reasonable control.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the terms published on our website at the time you place that order.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also be able to bring proceedings in your local courts.
